Adding Administrators in Deskgram 2
This guide covers the Adding Administrators module: a centralized way to grant administrator permissions across your Telegram channels and groups.
If service bots are required in every newly created channel, add them during channel creation whenever possible. This module is especially useful when permissions were missed initially, new bots must be introduced later, or ownership needs to be transferred.
1. Select the owner and load channels
Start on the left side of the screen:
- In Admins, select the Deskgram 2 account that owns the required channels or has permission to appoint administrators.
- Once selected, the application connects to that account and displays its available channels and groups in Channels.
- Mark the destinations where the new administrators should be assigned.
2. Choose the targets
In Target, define who receives administrator permissions:
- paste usernames manually when assigning third-party users or service bots;
- select accounts from Deskgram 2 when your own working profiles should administer the channels.
3. Configure permissions carefully
The right-side settings define what the new administrator can do. The module also supports transferring ownership of a channel to another account.
Available permissions include editing channel information, managing messages and Stories, inviting members, managing live streams, posting as the channel, appointing other administrators, and banning users.
Grant only the permissions required for the task. A posting bot generally does not need full channel control.
4. Launch safely
After you have selected the owner, destinations, targets, and permissions, click Start or schedule the task for later.
Common mistakes:
- trying to assign administrators from an account that lacks the required rights;
- giving full privileges to accounts or bots that only need limited access;
- applying changes to the whole network before testing one or two channels.
